The Best Skincare In the World

Coveted spas & Products Must Be Shared and Enjoyed
We tend to notice, research and discuss things for which we have a natural interest and passion. For me, one of the things to which I gravitate is skincare. I would like to share with you the products and spas I have discovered around the world that are the crème de la crème. I judge not by the package or the price, but by what works.

Ling Skin Care – NYC
I discovered Ling Skin Care products and spas living in Manhattan in my 20s (Ling has locations in Union Square and the Upper West Side). Ling has gained a celebrity following (Gisele Bundchen, Uma Thurman) and gave me the first facial that made a real difference rather than just feeling nice.
The Saxon Spa -Johannesburg
The Saxon Spa in Johannesburg has been my favorite spa experience to date. The treatments are top-notch and you can spend the whole day at the spa getting services and relaxing for a fraction of what the experience would cost in the U.S. Whenever I fly back to the States after time in Southern Africa, I make it a point to spend a day at the Saxon spa pre-departure. The Saxon introduced me to QMS Medicosmetics, which is another line that truly works.
The Silo Hotel
The Silo Hotel in Cape Town is an experience in itself, especially for those who like contemporary art and colorful decor (the hotel is connected to the Museum of Contemporary Art Africa and the owner, Liz Biden, is a decorating genius). The spa is the first I have seen that carries both of my favorite product lines – Ling and QMS Medicosmetics. That was an instant credibility builder.
Some of my other favorite spas near and far: Blackberry Farm (the facialist used a zapping mechanism that yielded great results); the Four Seasons in Istanbul (the Hammam ritual is other-worldly); Cheval Blanc on Saint-Barthelemy (superior staff and custom Guerlain products); and La Residencia on Mallorca (the Spanish love rose oil and think it can heal anything – it smells divine).
I will continue to explore and trial new products and skincare experiences!
