The Beauty of the Mini-Moon
Some of the best trips are the ones that happen in between.
That is the idea behind the mini-moon: a shorter, more intentional escape designed to complement the honeymoon, not replace it. A few days to slow down, decompress, and simply enjoy the moment.
After her destination wedding in Corfu, Greece, our Brand Marketing Specialist, Ariana, did just that. Rather than heading straight into the multi-week honeymoon she and her husband had planned for later, they slipped away for a few quiet nights on nearby Paxos—a small Ionian island that feels worlds away from the pace of Greece’s more familiar hotspots.
Think emerald coves accessible only by boat, centuries-old olive groves, tiny harbors, and family-run tavernas where lingering is part of the experience. Days unfold naturally: swimming in impossibly clear water, exploring hidden sea caves with a local captain, and lingering over long lunches overlooking the sea.
And that is the beauty of a mini-moon. There are no rules. It might be a long weekend following a destination wedding, a few restorative days before heading home, or a quick escape to Europe or Central America while saving the bigger honeymoon for later.
Because, like so many of our favorite journeys, it is less about the occasion and more about the feeling you hope to take home with you.
