My travel experiences began at a very young age thanks to my adventure-seeking parents! From infancy through our teenage years, my family spent many summer weeks sailing the Great Lakes out of our home port in Fish Creek, Wisconsin, and escaping a couple of cold winter weeks with sailing trips through the Caribbean.
When I was twelve years old my parents decided it was time for a real family adventure and we sold our home and moved to Christchurch, New Zealand for a year. My sisters and I attended school, but our family spent every spare second discovering all that this beautiful country has to offer, from glaciers to beaches and everywhere in between. In my adult life, highlight destinations have been Sydney, Melbourne, Rome, Florence, Salzburg, Paris, Munich, Barcelona, Valencia, Athens, Paros, Naxos, and Santorini – each locale is conducive to combining culture and history with unbelievable food and wine experiences.
My job at Travel Sommelier has provided me with an incredible opportunity to share my love of travel by supporting a fantastic team in the development of a personalized, luxury travel experience for our clients. My favorite part of my job is preparing the unique travel journal that each client receives for their trip because no two trips are ever the same and I always learn something new and interesting about one of our destinations!
