The region lends itself to unparalleled cycling opportunities and the Cape Boutique Producers itinerary includes The Mother City (Cape Town), South Africa’s City of Roses (Robertson) and The City of Oaks (Stellenbosch). Join us for a week of epicurean bliss on this first of a kind trip!

Detailed Itinerary (Classic)

DAY 1

  • Arrive in Cape Town, aka The Mother City and transfer to your hotel for city orientation and wine sampling.

DAY 2

  • Explore the most beautiful peninsula on the African continent on a full day tour that
    includes whale watching, penguin colonies, Cape Point, quaint fishing villages and
    outstanding seafood
  • Revel in the vibrancy of Cape Town’s restaurants and nightlife at the world famous
    V&A Waterfront

DAY 3 & 4

  • The town of Robertson is nestled along the banks of the Breede River and is home to fine garden restaurants and impeccably preserved Victorian architecture
  • We meet with winemakers and vineyard owners who are pushing the boundaries of the wine landscape in the region, especially exciting are some unusual cultivars and intriguing blends
  • An afternoon visit to South Africa’s foremost Brandy distillery - the storied “Klipdrift”

DAY 5

  • Depart Robertson for Stellenbosch, a vibrant university town at the heart of the wine region known as ‘The City of Oaks’
  • Half day cycling tour including the iconic Pinotage producer, Kanonkop. Enjoy a vineyard foodie lunch overlooking Table Mountain

DAY 6

  • Stellenbosch’s myriad valleys are home to South African wine “Royalty” and we spend a full day cycling the Cape’s first and largest wine route
  • Enjoy private tutored tastings with some of the country’s most iconic winemakers
  • Cycle hidden valleys and sample gourmet food

DAY 7

  • Transfer to Cape Town and depart the wine region...although we fully expect you will extend your stay!

Optional Safari Extension

No trip to South Africa is complete without a safari. Visit one of the two private game reserves we have carefully selected to continue your South African adventure. Come face to face with the Big 5, sample exquisite meals prepared in the remote bush country, sit back and sip your wine as day turns to night as the African sun dips below the horizon. Being in the bush in South Africa will leave you with unmatched memories.
